sTile Examples

(and how I made them)

Here's a sampling of textures made with 'sTile. Click on a thumbnail to see the full-sized image used as a background. The web page contains the step-by-step instructions for creating the image.  NOTE - the shortcut keys are indicated in some of the instructions. However, you may have to 'Undo' an operation after using the shortcut keys, to change the settings. Also, if numbers are mentioned in the instructions for settings, it indicates a top-to bottom sequence if more than one number is involved. So, for example if the instructions indicate a SineWave Both with settings 2 128 4 64 (Ctrl - X), it means that the settings should be 2 Peaks U/D, with a height of 128 and 4 peaks L/R, with a height of 64.  If you use the shortcut keys to invoke the effect, you'll have to Undo and change the settings, then click on the Apply button to use the new settings.  I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.  If you use Netscape or Internet Explorer, you can right-click and save the image on your hard drive, or use it as wallpaper.....

Some of the newer examples use instructions taken from the Harmlog.txt files, which are a little more detailed.  The colors are indicated using their R G B values.  To set the colors using these values:  in the Color Selection dialog, click on the Define Custom Colors >> button, and type the number into their corresponding Red, Green, and Blue boxes on the right.
